About our collection
Our collection contains an amount of 3D-objects which we got mostly via donations, loans, as findings or digital copies. Next to findings from the former "Military town Nr. 7" such as house number plaques or a postbox the objects of ex-prisoners or their relatives build the most conspiciuos parts of it. Among them you will find a winter jacket from the Workuta-Gulag, self made wooden cases or personal memorial items from the Soviet Camps.
Moreover we have a large stock of fotos (analog and digital) of the former prison and the Soviet Secret Service base. In addition our media collection preserves interviews with former prisoners and also audio and video recordings concerning the history of the site. Furthermore there is a press review starting in the beginning 90s.
