Leistikowstraße Memorial sees itself as a special, extracurricular place of learning. It offers pupils and students an opportunity to reflect upon topics such as the post-war order, Soviet repression, and Cold War espionage at an authentic historic location. Within the framework of educational projects, the participants examine the history of the place, working individually under supervision. These projects are only available in the German language.
Guided tours (from year/grade 9 upwards | 1 hour | 25 Euros per group of 19 people)
The tour of the former Soviet secret service prison provides an overview of the site's special history, embedded in historical topics such as the Second World War, the Allied post-war order, and the Cold War. It is available in German, English, Russian, or French. There is a special focus on the biographies of former prisoners. Multimedia kiosks make it possible to 'relive' the memories of former inmates.
For children and adolescents up to year/grade 8, we offer guided tours of the former secret service base "Military Town No. 7" in German, English, Russian and French.
